A Piece of the Past

So I was checking out old documents, and found my own writings written 4 years ago during an English class in LIA.

Here it is:

ESSAY #1 Introduction

My name is Muhammad Ichsan Fadillah. You can call me Ichsan, for simple. I bet all the standard stuffs of myself (you know, like my borndate, and stuffs like that) will get boring if I tell you here. I just want to say that I’m just an ordinary teenage boy who live with a super family (that consist of a loving pair of parents, and 2 very annoying brothers) and a bunch of super friends. Those 2 are the most precious things in my life. I have a passion in music, film, writing, and—I know it sounds lame, but its true—english. I listen to easy kind of music, most of them are pop song, or jazzy pop songs. I presently listen to (mostly) Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. Besides, I also love to watch film. I always try to watch more if I have a time spare in my leisure time. If I have time I would go to cinema, but if I dont, I would stay at home and watch my DVD collections. But my passion in writing is my very high after all. Right now, I do a lot of writing, and mostly in blogging. I share my daily life in that blog. You can check it if you want, it’s “ichsanfadillaah.blogspot.com”. And I open for your comments and criticisms to my writing. I also love english. I join an english club in my school. And I also do some english debate along with my school’s debating club. Well, I think that all a brief information of myself.

ESSAY #2 Money is not the Answer to all our Problems

For me myself, I do need money. Sometimes I think it could be the solution for all problems that I faced in life. But, as time goes by, my point of view has changed. That I realized, money is important, but it’s definitely not the solutions of all the problems I had in my life.

Sometimes money could be so fortunable, but sometimes it turns oppositely, we blame money for all the problems that we get. And there are so many reasons why we shouldn’t be controlled by money.

Money could only buy the realistic, or the materialistic objects that we are willing to have, but not the emotions of what we are willing to have. Like our happiness, it couldn’t be afforded by money or health, neither it does.

On the other hand, money could be the answer mainly to our financial problems. We could afford food by money, we could also pay our debts by money. But that is the point, when we are needing money too much, we would be controlled by it.

What worst is, when we are controlled by money, it could bring disastrous effects to us. When we are controlled by money, we lead ourself to bankrupcy. When we spend too much money, and its amount is bigger than our income, we need money to cover it. Therefore, the simplest and the most practice way we could make is by debts. But when its too much and become over, it could another problem for us.

That’s why, money is not the answer to all our problems. Be wise in using it, and dont be controlled by it.

*the portraits above are same as originals

Though high school times, being potrayed now, feels so silly and annoyingly funny (not to mention the I-know-everything feeling); but it feels so right. And I just want to share to remind, mainly to myself, that during the plainest time of one’s life can be the truest time of it.

And I found this along with the essays, whatever it means…

I always have cute side, aren't I? Hahaha :)
